Best Of Skin | May

The three skincare products I couldn't put down this May.

Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate

This product got me good, from first use I was in love with this replenishing nighttime facial oil. Distilled with botanicals, this oil fits  beautifully in my nighttime routine. The Lavender Essential Oil helps to promote a calming bedtime routine, while also soothing any inflammation on the skin. This oil is deeply hydrating, but remains lightweight and never leaves my skin feeling weighed dow. The Midnight Recovery Concentrate contains a Kiehl’s signature ingredient, Squalane, a botanical lipid that is similar in molecular structure to natural skin lipids. It has an exceptional affinity to skin, and because it’s easily absorbed, Squalane helps restore skin’s natural moisture balance to keep it extra soft and supple.

Dermalogica Calm Water Gel

After running out of one of my favourite moisturisers I was about to repurchase it when I tried Dermalogica's Calm Water Gel. A weightless water-gel moisturiser that hydrates dry, sensitive skin effortlessly. Since I opened it, I have used this moisturiser every morning to create a barrier against environmental damage. With a dual approach to Hyaluronic Acid, the moisturiser targets deeper surface layers on the skin and actually effectively adds some hydration without the use of serums or oils. Apple Fruit Extract and Glycerin hydrate and soften while defending skin against dryness. Also worth mentioning, this product gets a HUGE tick from me because it is cruelty free (vegan and not tested on animals).

RosehipPLUS® Organic Daily Cream Cleanser

This is a really simple cream based cleanser.  Blended with Rosehip Oil as well as Jojoba and Sea Buckthorn oils I find it does a good job of gently removing any excess makeup I may have missed with my micellar water. I like this cleanser because it is so gentle on my skin, it is non-drying and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. Additional ticks because this product is Australian Certified Organic and PETA approved!
