Jamie Invites You To An Italian Celebration of South Australia

 

During an interview last week I was asked why I have self proclaimed myself as an 'Adelaide Enthusiast" and my response? "How could I not be?" 

 

South Australia is home to an array of quality; from fashion to produce, to chefs and sommeliers we are not to be overlooked. Jamie Oliver of Jamie's Italian is no stranger to this, and to celebrate Jamie's Italian has put together a three course sharing feast featuring the best in-season produce and matching SA wines from Chaffey Bros, Zonte's Footstep & Mr Riggs

 

 

The evening will be hosted by two of Jamie's long-standing friends – sommelier, Matt Skinner and chef, Tobie Puttock. Jamie and Tobie first met in 1999 at the River Café in London, before Tobie and Matt helped Jamie to open his first restaurant, Fifteen, in 2002. To say I am excited for this event is an understatement.

Beef carpaccio with asparagus & and local pecorino

Classic Meat Plank with mixed salumi with 'nduja crostini, bocconcini, pecorino & chilli jam with pickles olives & slaw


Mains

Home made Orechiette with wild garlic pesto

Barossa Valley Black Angus aged rump, salt baked baby beets, wild garlic & spinach

Roasted Mulloway with vigonle - a classic Roman vegetable stew

Desserts

Polenta cake with Kangaroo Island honey
