Winter Beauty Edit

I recently worked on a campaign that had me sharing my some of my beauty favourites with you on Instagram. These past few months have been a tough one for my skin and I. We've never been the best of friends, but recently we began a battle full of sneaky - huge pimples the night before a big event - moves I thought we had left behind in our teenage years.

For most of my adult life I have spent more time thinking about how to cover up my skin, rather than how to better it. Like all problems in life, there comes a time where the bandaid solution just won't cover it up anymore.

Here are my top picks to get your skin on tract this winter.

1. Kiehls Clearly Corrective Purifying Foaming Cleanser & Clearly Corrective Skin Brightening Exfoliator

My skin is a sales assistant's dream. Combination type, visible pores, and prone to redness (all the time). The first time I used a sample of this Skin Brightening Exfoliator I fell in love. But, once that sample was all used up I forgot all about it. Luckily for me though, my amazing friends hadn't, and they recently purchased this duo for my birthday.

I have never found a foaming cleanser that hasn't dried my skin out, until now. I've been using these two products since the beginning of July and don't think my skin has ever looked better. I honestly notice a reduction in redness, and think my overall complexion is brighter and less dull.

2. Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash

I am guilty of touching my face way more than I should. Does anyone else find themselves constantly reseting on their hand? Or feeling that little bump every five minutes to see if it's grown to a full pimple yet?

I'm trying really hard to keep my hands to themselves, but in the meantime I love having a soap that isn't drying them out each time I wash them. Prior to receiving this as a house warming gift I was skeptical about spending this much on hand soap, but it has quickly become my little splurge.

3. Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask

This is a new one to my beauty regime! And so far, I'm in love. I pop this one on in the evenings, and wake up with soft skin that doesn't feel oily. I really struggle to find rich, hydrating products that don't leave my skin with a film of oil by morning. Which is why I have been so impressed with this overnight mask. At $55 I will definitely be purchasing this one again once it has run out (which I don't expect to be anytime soon, a little goes a long way, and I'm only using it on alternate nights)

4. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair

Now, this product is super new to me, and for that reason I wasn't going to include it. But, after using it for a few nights I have been so impressed that I thought it had to be included.

I have never found a serum, oil, or concentrated product that hasn't caused me to break out. As I mentioned I have really large pores (thanks Dad's side of the family), and I find they become clogged very easily. As I mentioned this serum is new to my routine, but so far my skin has responded incredibly well. It feels more plump, and incredibly hydrated.

The price tag on this one is a little scary, so I'll be expecting some big things over the next few months with this bottle. But so far, I'm incredibly impressed.

5. Estee Lauder Pure Colour Love Lipstick

I absolutely love wearing lipstick, but I have had a bad run recently with ones that have left my lips dry and flaking. I received these Pure Colour Love Lipsticks as a part of the campaign I mentioned earlier and have fallen in love. I am using the lighter of these two shades as my daily colour and have been SO impressed with the pigment, and how hydrating it is. I think this is the best lipstick I have ever used, and at $36 I will definitely be buying more.

Do you have any beauty favourites to share with me? I am still looking for an amazing every day moisturiser, if you have any suggestions please let me know in the comments below.
