This year I have put some serious saving goals in place, and I don't know if anyone else is facing the same problem, but gosh this season has me wanting to buy just about every piece I lay my eyes on.
To try a save my bank account, and be able to keep up my 'smashed avocado' brunching lifestyle I have added a new requirement new pieces must check off prior to moving from my Wishlist to cart; can I style this piece at least two ways with items I already own?
I was initially hesitant to add something metallic into my wardrobe, fearing its sparkle may ruin my monochromatic, black is the only colour I need, palette. Alas, here we here - and I'm totally in love. Here are not two, but three really wearable looks featuring this Metallic Split Skirt (which just happens to be on sale)!
Add a little sparkle to your mid week attire. A silk top is my go to throughout the working week, this piece transitions beautifully from the office to brunch dates. Typically I'd look to pair a skirt like this one with a top I could tuck in to give some shape to the outfit, but I've chosen this David Lawrence Chalk Floral Silk Blouse because the contrasting trim sits at the waistline to create a beautiful silhouette.
This look is something I'd love to wear to work on a Friday, and through to whatever fun the evening may bring. I have styled the skirt with a simple white shirt and a wool jacket. I love this Nanties Ruffle Trim Wool Jacket for it's three quarter sleeves and slightly cropped style. I'm sticking to the metallic theme with this Kapen & Sons timepiece.
This final look is something a little different for me, but I am so ready to rock it at the Willunga Farmers Market this Saturday. I have picked up some of the colour from my shoes with this $8 Kmart jumper, that sits over the same white shirt worn above.
